Parades |
| During its time in Malta the Regiment took part in more
than its fair share of parades, much to the delight of the soldiers. This
page will provide a snapshot of some of them. |

BIRTHDAY PARADE 15th June 1963 |
|
 |
| In March rehearsals began for that complex
ceremony of the 'trooping the colour' for the official celebration of the
Queens Birthday. Originally scheduled for 8th June, it had to be postponed
for a week because of a period of mourning for the death of his holiness
the pope.
On the 15th June, the five guards, each of three
officers and 52 other ranks march on the Floriana Parade ground under the
ensigns at 08.25 hours.
The trooping of the colour ceremony was then carried out
followed by march pasts in slow and quick time. After the return to
the inspection line the parade ended with an Advance in review order,
Three cheers for her Majesty and a final salute to the Governor |
